From 18 to 21 May 2026, the academic community of the Aurora Alliance gathered at the University of Duisburg-Essen for the Aurora Annual Conference 2026. The event brought together academics, researchers, students, staff members, partners, and stakeholders from across Europe to discuss key topics related to the future of higher education, research, and university cooperation.
Among the participants in the conference were representatives of South-West University "Neofit Rilski" Blagoevgrad, taking part in the event as an active member of the European university alliance Aurora.
The conference programme featured the official Aurora Presidency Handover Ceremony, discussions on trust in academia and research organizations, the Aurora 2030 vision and future development, innovation and entrepreneurship in research, as well as student representation in European higher education.
The event provided opportunities for sharing best practices, strengthening international partnerships, and enhancing collaboration among Aurora member universities.
