South-West University “Neofit Rilski” will host the first international scientific conference on the topic of Responsible Creation of Artificial General Intelligence (RC-AGI). The event will be part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the University.

The conference will be held on 20 May 2026 in hybrid mode: both at venue and online. It will bring together scientists, researchers and experts from various areas of research to discuss the outlooks for the creation of AGI, the AGI expected development in the near future and the conditions required to ensure that AGI is developed and implemented in a responsible and safe manner.

RC-AGI will be an interdisciplinary forum involving experts from diverse areas such as Informatics, Mathematical Logic, Philosophy, Futurology and Law. The main goal of the Conference is to foster a thoughtful debate across the academic community and the general public on the ethical, legal and technological aspects of AGI.

The working language of the conference will be English.
